Phu Quoc Island

Vietnam is one place in the world that one will dream to see. Phu Quoc is an island located in the southern coast of Vietnam. It is quite small compare to other islands and lacks infrastructure but still it is a peaceful and relaxing vacation spot. There are several flights between the mainland and Phu Quoc and if your in Rach Gia, a town in Vietnam’s southern-most coast, you can catch a speedboat to reach the beach in time. For about two and a half hours you can reach Phu Quoc.

Vietnam is known with its fish sauce that is made from fermented anchovies. Those who are familiar and lovers of Vietnamese cuisine know that Vietnam’s fish sauce could be delectable when serve with their famous fish sauce. Fish sauce produced in Phu Quoc is sought by Vietnamese food lovers through local Asian markets.

Another interesting in Phu Quoc is its relatively short rainy season (September and October) unlike in Ho Chi Minh rain downpours for 4 to 5 months. The rest of the year in Phu Quoc is fairly dry so tourists will enjoy their time with their activities.
Tourists may stay in cheap bungalows that are available for rent mostly near in the island’s main port and city, the Duong Dong. At least 80% of Phu Quoc is covered by a national forest with guided trails along the muddy paths of the island. Vietnam as a whole is rapidly developing so sooner or later Phu Quoc will no longer be a nonchalant tropical island.
